10 Things to Do Downtown

1. Cassia
Metro’s 2016 Supreme Restaurant of the Year: Indian food but not as you know it, plus a wine list to match. Topped off with impeccable customer service Cassia is one of the city's must-try restaurants.
— 5 Fort Lane, cassia.co.nz

2. O’Connell Bistro
Simon Wilson of Metro: “The wine list is excellent, the menu is classic and the food is very reliable.” I agree. Closed since January after a fire but will reopen any day now.
— 3 O’Connell St, oconnellstreetbistro.com

4. XuXu
Said “SuSu”. A dumpling and cocktail bar offering boutique wines, local beers and seasonal cocktails with whimsical decor and intimate tables. Open until late.
